07/09/2010USA E.S.T.A. procedure now at a fee

We remind all passengers going to or in transit in the U.S. that American authorities have established procedures that will simplify flights’ check-in and boarding for an effective borders’ control protection.

Specifically, starting September 8, 2010, travelers of the Visa Waiver Program countries (WVP) must pay a $14 fee when requesting the E.S.T.A. (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) authorization.
The payment will have to be done through credit card when requiring it on the https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov website.
