NEW BAGGAGE POLICY FOR TICKETS ISSUED AS OF DECEMBER 1, 2011
When your baggage exceeds in number, dimension and/or weight the allowance required, an excess baggage charge has to be paid to Alitalia at the ticket desks at airport, according to the rates listed below.
Excess charge rates shown in the table below have to be considered per single flight segment and with the following currencies: EUR or equivalent from Europe, East Europe, Japan; USD from USA and South America; CAD or equivalent from Canada.
The table below shows the details of the new excess baggage charge, for tickets issued as of December 1, 2011 to fly by February 1, 2012.

Excess baggage charge for tickets issued from May 01, 2011 to November 30, 2011.
Excess baggage charge for tickets issued until April 30, 2011.
Excess baggage in number of pieces, sizes and weight can be added up: for example, if in addition to the two pieces allowed, there is a third piece which is also over foreseen weight, total cost of excess baggage charged will be 200+100 euros or $.
