Excess baggage charges have to be paid to Alitalia at the ticket desks according to the rates listed below.

Excess baggage with weight concept
Excess overweight baggage for flights where the weight concept applies is calculated on the basis of fixed levels to be paid for every Kg. over the allowed baggage rule:

From/to Europe & East Europe, Africa (Algiers, Cairo, Casablanca, Tripoli, Tunis); Middle East (Beirut, Damascus, Teheran, Tel Aviv)	20 euros
From/to Asia (Osaka, Tokyo)	30 euros

Excess baggage with piece concept
From North America and Canada to Europe, East Europe, Algiers, Casablanca and Tunis the 2^nd piece charge will be of 50$/CAD/Euro according to the flight point of origin. The 3^rd piece will be calculated instead according to the general rule as in the scheme below:

Foreseen as of February 1, 2010

Excess baggage in number of pieces, sizes and weight can be added up: for example, if in addition to the two pieces allowed, there is a third piece which is also over foreseen weight, total cost of excess baggage charged will be 200+100 euros or $.

1. Baggage size over 158 cms. Total, up to a maximum of 203 cms.
2. Baggage weight over 23 Kgs., up to a maximum of 32 Kgs.
3. Only one additional baggage is allowed.
