MILLEMIGLIA PROGRAM
Award ticket
Award ticket
With the miles earned with Alitalia and with the airline and commercial partners (if you haven't earned enough miles, also with a small mileage purchase), you can request a Standard or Plus award ticket1.
1) Standard award ticket: use your miles to request an award ticket for flights operated by Alitalia or by airline companies that are partners in the program; code-sharing flights operated by airline companies that are not partners in the program are excluded.
2) Plus award ticket: it gives you the opportunity to travel with award tickets during the high season. By spending double the number of miles required for the Standard ticket, the Plus ticket offers:
- a wider choice of seats
- free excess baggage of up to 10 kg (in addition to the extra allowance provided by the Ulisse, Freccia Alata and Freccia Alata Plus Clubs)
- the possibility of changing itinerary and/or beneficiary without extra payment
You can request your award tickets online, or contact your nearest Alitalia Office, specifying that the booking request refers to a MilleMiglia award ticket. In this case, remember to communicate your MilleMiglia code, the number of your ID document (or that of a beneficiary) and your credit card number (for billing the airport taxes). On arrival at the airport, go straight to check-in to pick up your boarding pass and the receipt for the ticket.
General Rules
We remind you that:
- for every award ticket, only two transits are allowed. Voluntary stops (stopovers) are not allowed
- award tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of issue
- bookings will be automatically cancelled if the award ticket is not issued within a maximum of 30 days from the date the booking was made
To changes to award tickets where penalties will apply, the amount is 5,000 miles or 55 euros. See details on penalties:
- it's applicable in case of itinerary changes or of changes to the beneficiary
- it's not applicable in case of date or time change, and in case of changes to the beneficiary that require a switch2 from a Plus ticket to a Standard or, viceversa, from Standard to a Plus ticket.
2. In case the change to the type of ticket (from Plus to Standard) creates a miles residue, these miles will be lost and will not be refunded to the member, under any circumstances.
