How to book a special meal
We would like to remind you that you must book it by getting in touch with your Local Office at least 12-24 hours before the flight departure.
Flights where the service is available
- medium haul flights: in Business class always, in Economy class on those above 3 hours flight
- long haul flights: in Magnifica and in Economy classes always
Special Meals Categories
Our special meals can be divided into 3 categories, each of which include specific offers to cater for all requirements.
| Bland | does not contain ingredients or drinks that may trigger gastric disorders and excludes highly seasoned products which are not always well digested. |
| Diabetic | contains added complex carbohydrates, a high fibre content and includes low-fat products. |
| Gluten free | a selection of meals free from wheat, rye, barley, oats and flour. |
| Low calorie | contains added complex carbohydrates and foods with a high fibre content. |
| Low cholesterol | contains foods rich in fibre and complex carbohydrates and low in fat. May contain polyunsaturated fat. |
| Low sodium/salt | for those who suffer from heart, circulatory or renal problems. No salt is used in the preparation of the dishes, which have a low sodium content. |
| Lactose free | a selection of meals that excludes lactose or milk products and dairy products and their derivatives. |
| Fish | created for those who require a predominantly fish-based meal, excluding meat from their diet. |
| Vegan | a selection of meals made from products of vegetable origin only, excluding meat, fish, dairy products and eggs. |
| Vegetarian (including dairy products and eggs) | created for those who follow a vegetarian diet. Includes eggs and dairy products, but excludes meat and fish. |
| Asian vegetarian | contains vegetable products, using spices and flavourings of a predominantly Asian origin. Does not contain beef or veal. |
| Kosher* | meals prepared in compliance with Jewish dietary laws, under the supervision of a Rabbi. Excludes pork, shellfish and scaleless fish. |
| Muslim | a selection of meals free from pork, game and alcohol. All the proteins are covered by a Halal guarantee. |
| Hindu | a selection of meals prepared and seasoned in the Indian fashion, free from pork, beef and veal. May include fish, milk and dairy products. |
| Children from 0-2 | a selection of homogenised products including lean meat, vegetables, fruit and dessert. |
| Children from 2-12 | a section of complete meals, with the option of including products such as hamburgers, packaged desserts and sandwiches. |
Food allergy and food intolerance sufferers may request a peanut free meal.
* You can book a Kosher meal up to 48 hours before flight departure, if leaving from Tel Aviv up to 24 hours ahead.
