Banned items
ICAO and IATA have classified all substances and materials that, because of their nature, could present a hazard for air transport and are therefore banned from being carried either in the hold or in hand baggage.
Banned items on board
• Document folder supplied with an alarm system
• Compressed gas - (refrigerated, flammable, non-flammable and poisonous) such as: butane, propane, oxygen, liquid nitrogen, camping gas bottles and breathing aid bottles
• Corrosive - such as: acids, alkali, mercury barometers and wet elements batteries
• Explosives - weapons and ammunitions different from those used for sports, fireworks and rockets, including all toys resembling weapons
• Flammable liquids and solids- like cigarette lighters and combustibles, matches, paints and solvents
• Poisons and infectious substances - insect killers, weed killers and material etc.
• Biological liquids - for example: blood, urine, seminal liquid.
• Radioactive material.
• Alarm devices and related lithium batteries.
• Scuba diving torches containing batteries.
• Cooking Oils are prohibited from carriage in checked or carry-on baggage.
• Infectious substances – bacteria, viruses, etc.
• Other dangerous items - such as: magnetic items, intoxicants, items releasing unpleasant smell or irritants, oxidants, bleach and peroxides.
