Check-in time limit

Check-in time limit Check-in is a key element in the process, for this reason you should check-in within an allotted time. These check-in times have recently been lengthened due to increasingly thorough security regulations concerning check-in and boarding.

Alitalia strongly recommends that passengers arrive 2 hours  prior to their departure time to allow sufficient time to complete check-in and clear security.

Alitalia checks-in passengers at Heathrow Terminal Terminal 4

Once you have checked in you will receive your boarding pass, and you should go to the boarding gate at the time printed on the boarding pass.
