Check-in time limit

Check-in time limit Check-in is a key element in the process, for this reason you should check-in within an allotted time. These check-in times have recently been lengthened due to increasingly thorough security regulations concerning check-in and boarding.

Alitalia strongly recommends that passengers arrive 2 hours  prior to their departure time to allow sufficient time to complete check-in and clear security.

Alitalia checks-in passengers at the following Terminals:
  • London (Heathrow) - Terminal 2
  • For departing flights from: Edinburgh, Southampton, Manchester, Newcastle and Aberdeen passengers should check-in operations are carried out at Air France desks.
Once you have checked in you will receive your boarding pass, and you should go to the boarding gate at the time printed on the boarding pass.
