Who can use Fast Check-in?

Fast Check-in is available for passengers travelling with an Alitalia electronic ticket to destinations in Italy (excluding Bolzano), Schengen Europe* and to London Heathrow.

It’s allowed both with hand luggage and baggage to register in the hold for departures from London Heathrow, Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Bologna, Catania, Florence, Naples and Venice; from all other airports, exclusively with hand luggage.  

Where to find it

There are several Fast Check-in machines dedicated to SkyTeam Business traveller and a number of Fast Check-in machines for passengers of all airlines located at London Heathrow Terminal 4:

  • The SkyTeam frequent flyer and business traveller fast check-in machines are located in the business check-in area. Simply check-in then leave your luggage at the dedicated drop-off desk if you travelling with one.
 
  • All other fast check-in machines are located opposite the security entrance, opposite the economy check-in desks.

How to use it
Three easy steps using the touch screen:    
  • confirm your identity with either your passport, MilleMiglia/SkyTeam card, MilleMiglia number, e-ticket number or credit card (not necessarily the card used for ticket purchase, it's only needed to verify your name);
  • confirm your flight and choose a seat;
  • pick up your boarding pass and receipt.
In addition, the service allows you to:
  • change your reservation (with a changeable ticket)
  • check-in up to 4 passengers on the same booking
  • check-in for your return flight if returning the same day
  • through check-in for connecting flights
  • print the Web Check-in boarding pass
  • update your MilleMiglia or SkyTeam frequent flyer number
European Schengen destinations served at Rome Fiumicino: Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Brussels, Budapest, Frankfurt, Madrid, Malta, Munich, Nice, Paris and Varsavia (boarding at Terminal 1). 
From Rome Fiumicino to London: drop-off desk n. 360 at Terminal 3.
European Schengen destinazions served at Milan Linate: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Frankfurt, Madrid and Paris.
European Schengen destinazions served at Milan Malpensa: Paris.
