Check-in time limit
Check-in at Ben Gurion Airport:
The Check-In Hall is located on Level 3 of Terminal 3.
Alitalia counters: Area A, number 1-10
For flight safety, all passengers departing Ben Gurion Airport undergo a security check consisting of luggage, handbags and a physical check.
Please make sure to arrive 3 hours prior to the flight, with travel documents as well as your flight ticket.
You may proceed to the Check-In counters only after completion of the security check at the queues assigned to Israeli passport holders or foreign passport holders.
Alitalia check-in counters are closed 45 minutes prior to departure time.
Check-in time limit at airports in other countries
- Flights from London Heathrow: due to enhanced security measures, we strongly advises you to arrive at the airport for check-in at least 2 hours before the flight departure
- Flights to Casablanca and Cairo: there is a 60 minute time limit for checking in to allow for security checks

Check-in time limit at the main Italian airports
The check-in times have recently been lengthened due to increasingly thorough security regulations concerning check-in and boarding.
Once you have checked in you will receive your boarding pass, and you should go to the boarding gate at the time printed on the boarding pass.

* Should the airport be closed due to fog, the check-in time is fifty minutes before departure time. It is advisable to arrive at the airport well in advance.
