Terms & Conditions

Under our “Best Price Guarantee,” we will refund, in the form of an e-coupon valid for future travel, the difference in price between the fare of the Alitalia or Air One ticket(s) purchased on alitaliausa.com and the lower online fare for the same exact flight(s), itinerary and number of passengers priced on another US travel web site.
To be eligible for the refund under the “Best Price Guarantee” (BPG), you should have finalized the booking and purchased your ticket(s) as per the following terms and conditions. All conditions indicated in this section must be met. 

- With the term “price” we mean the total amount paid for the airline ticket(s) (i.e. fare + taxes and fees). 
- With the term “lowest published retail fares” we mean only published retail fares available on the Internet for the same exact itinerary.  Unpublished fares not usually available to the general public, including, without limitation, packaged, corporate, tour operator, consolidator, military, government, contracted, student, opaque agency or other discounted fares are not eligible. 
- The “Best Price Guarantee” is only applicable to “flight only” purchases made on alitaliausa.com using a valid credit card by selecting the “search by price” option and applies exclusively to economy class tickets. The guarantee does not cover bookings made using the “advanced search” (multi-leg) option or the “pay later” option available to MilleMiglia members. 
-The “Best Price Guarantee” (BPG) applies to all domestic, international and intercontinental AZ-coded flights operated by Alitalia, Air One, Alitalia Express and Air Alps, originating in or having as final destination the United States of America. 
- Itineraries which include flights not operated by Alitalia, Air One, Alitalia Express or Air Alps are not eligible for the BPG.
- The ticket(s) purchased on alitaliausa.com must be at the lowest fare available on alitaliausa.com at the time of purchase.
- The refund request can only be sent if, on the same day after the purchase on alitaliausa.com has been completed, you find, on another US travel web site, a fare for the same exact flight(s), itinerary and number of passengers, which is at least 10 US dollars (5 US dollars for one-way itineraries) lower than the price paid on alitaliausa.com.
- The expression “same itinerary” means that the flights have the same flight codes and numbers (e.g. AZ611), the same departure/arrival dates and times, the same number of passengers and the same fare rules.  In case of itineraries including multiple legs, these should be in the same order.
- The lower fare should be expressed in US dollars.
- The guarantee is only applicable to fares that can actually be purchased and are not just advertised on the other web site.
- Refund requests for the difference in price can only be sent to Alitalia through the online form provided and have to be received no later than midnight Central Standard Time of the same day you purchased your alitaliausa.com ticket(s). Requests sent via e-mail, telephone or mail will not be processed.
- Alitalia reserves the right to verify claims and request proof via a screenshot or printout of the page showing the fare in question.
-Copies of the above-mentioned proofs of claim should be kept until you receive a reply from Alitalia that the refund request has either been accepted or declined.
- Alitalia is not responsible for requests not received in time due to technical problems (i.e. Internet connection).
- Only one refund request can be made for each booking reference (PNR).
- The final decision by Alitalia is undisputable.  

For a claim to be valid under the “Best Price Guarantee,” it must satisfy all of the terms and conditions and be submitted in accordance with the claims processing procedure, in each case, as set forth herein.  Without limitation of the generality of the immediately preceding sentence, the following are instances in which the Best Price Guarantee does not apply:  

1) The lower fare found on the US travel web site is lower due to a special promotion (i.e. e-coupon offer, loyalty program offer, etc.);
2) The difference in price is due to a mistake on the third party web site;
3) The fare is part of a package which includes other services (i.e. car, hotel, etc.);
4) Alitalia is unable to verify the claim;
5) The customer has requested or is requesting cancellation and subsequent refund of the ticket(s) purchased on alitaliausa.com, according to the fare rules.  

- The information and personal data communicated to Alitalia will only be used for communications related to the servicing of the claim. The personal data will be purged within 6 months of the date of receipt.
- Void where prohibited by law.  Alitalia reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify or discontinue the Best Price Guarantee or to restrict its availability to any person, at any time, for any or no reason, and without prior notice or liability to you. Alitalia's failure to enforce any provision of the Best Price Guarantee’s terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
