With the ‘Loyalty Reward’ promotion, starting in July 2008, you can get a bonus equal to the miles earned by 31 December 2007 and not redeemed by 30 June 2008. The bonus will be credited automatically to your account at the end of the promotion (starting in July 2008). To participate in this promotion, you will have to fly with Alitalia twice during the first 6 months of 2008. For more information on the promotion, visit the ‘Loyalty Reward’ 2008 page of the Alitalia website.
The Program will last three years (until 31 December 2010), however, Alitalia has the option to extend it for an additional 2 years.
As with the current edition of the Program, you can earn miles by flying with Alitalia, its airline Partners (SkyTeam or not) and by using the services of its commercial Partners.
Starting 1 January 2008, earn miles based on the distance traveled and the class of service booked on Alitalia flights. Earn more with higher value tickets: up to triple miles for international flights in Business or Magnifica Class and with a Full Fare Economy class ticket on domestic flights within Italy.
Yes, throughout 2008, the MilleMiglia Program has created a promotion just for you. You will earn 100 miles for each single flight (regardless of the distance travelled). Alitalia reserves the right to extend this promotion also for 2009.
The minimum amount is equal to 50% of the miles flown or, where minimum miles are required, 250 miles for each domestic flight within Italy (if distance travelled is less or equal to 500 miles) and 600 miles for each international flight (if distance travelled is less or equal to 1,200 miles).
The maximum amount of miles that can be accrued is equal to 150% of the miles flown for international flights, or 1,800 miles if the distance travelled is less or equal to 1,200 miles. For domestic flights within Italy up to 300% of the miles flown or 1,500 miles if the distance travelled is less or equal to 500 miles.
If you buy a Business or Magnifica Class ticket for an Alitalia flight, you will earn 300% of the miles flown and a minimum of 3,600 miles for each flight, if the distance travelled is less or equal to 1,200 miles.
The Exclusive Bonus will be calculated based on the miles accrued for Economy class tickets purchased in booking classes that let you earn 100% of the miles, regardless of the type of fare purchased. For tickets purchased at discounted fares, in booking classes that let you earn 50% of the miles, the Exclusive Bonus will be calculated directly on the miles earned.
As with the 2003-2007 Program, you can request the following awards: airline award tickets with Alitalia and its Partner airlines; upgrading to Business class. You can also donate your miles to the Charity Program Associations. What’s more, starting 1 January 2008, you can request One-Way award tickets for all destinations served by Alitalia using fewer miles than for a round-trip ticket. Additionally, throughout the year, new awards will be introduced and we will inform you of the details.
No, it is not possible. The awards that can be requested between January and June 2008, with miles earned up until 31 December 2007, will be the same ones available for the 2003-2007 Program. One-Way award tickets are therefore excluded.
