With the new year, the MilleMiglia Program will offer many new features. Below are some of the most important.  

The more expensive your ticket, the more miles you earn.
Miles will be calculated based not only on the distance travelled but also on the type of fare purchased: you can earn triple miles for international flights in Business or Magnifica Class or with Full Fare Economy class tickets on domestic flights within Italy. Or, you earn less miles with less expensive tickets, based on the miles accrual table. 

More flexibility for your award tickets
With the 2003-2007 edition you could only request round-trip award tickets, with the new MilleMiglia Program you will be able to request a One-Way award ticket for the miles earned starting 1 January 2008. This new feature will give you more flexibility in planning your award trips.  

‘Loyalty Reward’: a special bonus for miles earned before12/31/07
By participating in this promotion, i.e. by flying at least twice with Alitalia in the first six months of 2008, you will earn a bonus equal to the miles earned by 31 December 2007 and not used by 30 June 2008.  

Many new benefits for Frequent Flyers
With at least 20,000 qualifying miles* earned by flying with Alitalia or a SkyTeam Partner, you can gain access to Ulisse Club and, by earning at least 50,000, you can join the exclusive Freccia Alata Club.
And that’s not all. In 2008 the new Freccia Alata Plus Club will be introduced, the most prestigious among the Alitalia frequent flyer Clubs, which you can only join by earning at least 80,000 qualifying miles in a calendar year.

* Qualifying miles are those that allow you to gain access or renew your membership in the exclusive Clubs. You can earn them between 1 January and 31 December by flying with Alitalia or SkyTeam Partner and Associate airlines and with other Partners, when specifically indicated.
