Flying with the New Alitalia

Alitalia and Air One aircraft A new company is born by the fusion of Alitalia and Air One, there are many changes in store for our Customers.

A new network
A new joint network services a total of 74 destinations, of these: 25 are within Italy, 36 are international and 13 are intercontinental. It also offers increased direct connections between Italian cities. Tickets can already be purchased.

A convenient flight schedule
A convenient schedule has been prepared to allow daily roundtrip flights between major Italian and European cities.

New opportunities to earn miles
Your frequent flyer miles are guaranteed. In addition, you can earn miles on flights operated by Air One, which will allow you to access or renew membership in Alitalia’s Exclusive Clubs.

Main changes that will affect the different moments of your journey.



Reservations and purchases
  • You can now book and purchase Alitalia and Air One flights on the Alitalia website, through the call centre or at ticket offices.

At the airport
  • Check the airline code for your flight that is shown on your ticket. To check-in, or use the other services (fast check-in, web check-in or telecheck-in) you must contact the airline that will operate your flight.
  • If your ticket has multiple segments that include both Alitalia and Air One flights, you can check-in also for the subsequent connecting flights.
  • The baggage allowance is the same for both Alitalia and Air One flights.

In flight
  • Onboard services on Alitalia and Air One flights are unified for most flights.
  • Flights are operated by both Alitalia and Air One aircrafts; therefore you may fly on an Air One operated flight even if you have purchased an Alitalia ticket.

After your flight
  • Customer service is handled by the carrier that operated your last flight. Please check the airline code shown on your boarding pass.

MilleMiglia Program
  • You can earn frequent flyer miles even on flights operated by Air One. The same criteria apply for accruing miles with Alitalia.
  • Members of the Exclusive Clubs can to enjoy most of the benefits reserved for them also when flying Air One.
  • You can redeem miles also on Air One flights.
