If your baggage is delayed, please go to the airport Lost & Found office of your destination city and fill in a Property Irregularity Report (P.I.R.). You will be given a copy of the report and, if you are not a resident of the city, a kit containing some basic necessities including toiletries.
The Lost & Found office will contact you as soon as the baggage has been found. You can, nevertheless, keep up to date on the search efforts through our baggage search service.
If you sustained expenses during the days leading up to the return of your baggage, if live in Italy send a reimbursement request within 21 days of the date it was delivered. You can send a detailed fax to 199 125623,or fill in an online form. Remember to attach:
- A signed detailed letter
- The Property Irregularity Report (P.I.R.) issued by the Lost & Found office
- The tag or stub of the baggage ID tag
- The receipt of your flight ticket and/or boarding card
- Any receipts you have for the basic necessities you had to purchase
If you do not live in Italy, download and fill out the form and send it together with the documentation listed below to the Client Relations Office nearest you. Our office will be in touch with you via the contact information you have provided.
If 3 days after the filing of the P.I.R. your baggage has not yet been returned to you, send a detailed list of the contents of the delayed bag along with the P.I.R. number and the baggage ID tag:
The search for your baggage will continue for 45 days. After this period of time, your baggage will be considered lost and compensation procedures will begin based on currently applicable laws.
We invite you, therefore, to forward us, up to 2 years from the date of the outage, a request as described above.
