Payment Methods, Service Charges and Refunds

To purchase your tickets on our website, choose one of the following payment methods:

- Credit card (MasterCard, Visa).


PAY AT TICKET OFFICE 

You can finalize the ticket purchase in one of the Alitalia ticket offices shown during the reservation procedure within 72 hours from the date of the online reservation. 

 

SALES CHANNELS
A service charge applies* to ticket purchases, at the following variable amount: 

Web purchase
This service is free of charge. 

- Call center purchase 
EUR 7.5 per ticket purchased at the time of booking 
EUR 20 per ticket purchased after booking


Purchase from ticket desks managed by Alitalia   
EUR 10 per national ticket 
EUR 25 per international ticket within the Schengen Area and Switzerland
EUR 35 per ticket for all other destinations 

MilleMiglia award ticket
The service charge only applies to call center purchases, if it is also possible to purchase the ticket from alitalia.com. The service charge is not applicable if the award ticket can only be purchased through the call center (e.g. date change/itinerary change/award upgrade). 

* The service charge is not applicable in the following cases: 
- Passengers under 2 years old 
- territorial continuity rates. 


REFUNDS
A fee of EUR 20 per ticket for administration costs is applicable on all complete or partial ticket refund requests, for flights canceled by the passenger.
That fee of EUR 20 is also provided only for the reimbursement of the airport taxes and security.
The fee, regardless of whether there is a refund penalty, applies on all tickets excluding those in Magnifica, Classica Plus, Economy/Libera Class and for flights with territorial continuity tariffs.
Airport taxes and security taxes can always be reimbursed for all tariffs.
If the reimbursable amount (referred to ticket and/or security and airport taxes) is less than the administration fee, no amount will be reimbursed.
