Notre Dame
Made famous by Victor Hugo's novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, it is one of Paris's most notable icons. The fire on 15 April 2019 means the interior can no longer be visited. It is still possible, however, to admire its unmistakable external Gothic facade, with the distinctive two towers and gates finely engraved with scenes from the Last Judgment.
