TRANSPORT SECTOR STRIKES 16 JUNE

Alitalia: plan to minimise customer inconvenience due to transport sector strikes scheduled for 16 June.

In view of multiple transport sector strikes announced for Friday 16 June, Alitalia has taken special measures to reduce customer inconvenience and rebook the highest number of passengers affected by cancellations onto the first available flights. The Company was forced to cancel several domestic and international flights scheduled for 16 June, as well as some flights in the early morning of 17 June. Flights departing from Italy will operate as usual between 7 am and 10 am and between 6 pm to 9 pm Rome time on 16 June. Click here for a complete list of cancelled services. To minimize inconvenience, Alitalia advises all customers already holding tickets for travels on 16 June, as well as on the early morning of 17 June, to call the airline in Italy on toll-free number 800.65.00.55, from overseas at +39 06 65 649, or contact the travel agency where the ticket was bought.

 

 

 

REBOOKING POLICY

Eligibility only for customers with an original ticket issue date on or before 14 June 2017.

 

Change of Travel Dates without penalty on AZ flights operating and AZ marketing flights in the same booking class or in the first available one.

- Re-booking/Re-issue must be completed by the end of the day on 30 June 2017.

- Outbound travel should occur no later than 30 June 2017.

- The original duration of stay will be preserved.

- Re-booking is only permitted within the same cabin of travel, i.e. re-book in the ticketed class and if not available, the lowest class in the same cabin.

Re-routing without penalty on AZ operating and AZ marketing flights in the same booking class or in the first available one, within the same cabin of travel.

- The travel must be done via intermediate point on the same origin and destination.

- The reservation must be changed not later than 30 June 2017.

- Outbound travel should occur no later than 30 June 2017.

- The original duration of stay will be preserved.

OR

Full Refund without any penalty of completely/partially unused ticket in the original form of payment.

Passengers with open ticket, without reservation, will have the refund of not used tkt.

Change of Origin/Destination

In lieu of refund the full or partial value of the original ticket may be used to buy new Alitalia tickets.

The new fare must be recalculated using the applicable fare for the new origin/destination.

Reservation must be done by the end of the day on 30 June 2017, without change fee.

 

GENERAL RULES

Schedule change of more than 5 hours (flight scheduled delayed on departure):

In case the re-scheduled departure time are such that the passenger is no longer interested in the flight, he may renounce to the flight and may request the Carrier to refund the amount paid, without any penalty of completely/partially unused ticket, in the original form of payment.

 

 

Schedule change P.O.S. USA:

- In case the re scheduled departure time are such that the passenger is no longer interested in the flight, he may request to be re-booked/re-routed (via intermediate point on same origin and destination) without any penalty and without any additional cost.

- In case the Carrier cannot offer any alternate acceptable flight, passenger may renounce to the flight and may request the Carrier to refund the amount paid, without any penalty of completely/partially unused ticket, in the original form of payment

 

MilleMiglia Award Tickets:

MilleMiglia Customers will be reprotected on AZ operating flights.

Tickets re-issue:

Rerouting requires ticket reissue. E-tkts must be reissued without penalty inserting in the “Endorsement and Restriction” box the indication: “Transport Sector Strike June 2017”
