Founded in 1902 in Trento by Giulio Ferrari and since 1952 run by the Lunelli family, Ferrari is Italy’s leading luxury sparkling wine and a symbol of the Italian Art of Living.
All Ferrari labels are Trentodoc; bottle fermented sparkling wines produced with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes cultivated with sustainable mountain viticulture methods on the slopes of the Trentino mountains, in Northern Italy.
Named “Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year” at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, Ferrari is the toast of Italy par excellence and accompanies the most important moments in culture, sport and entertainment.
The legend of Ferrari began with a man, Giulio Ferrari, and his dream of creating in Trentino a wine capable of competing with the best Champagnes. He was a pioneer and the first to realize the extraordinary vocation of his territory. He was also the first who brought Chardonnay grapes in Italy where he began producing a few highly select bottles, with an obsessive attention to quality.
As he had no children, Giulio Ferrari began looking for a successor to whom he could entrust his dream. Among many candidates he chose Bruno Lunelli, owner of a wine shop in Trento that thanks to his passion and entrepreneurial talent, succeeded in increasing production without ever compromising on quality. Bruno conveyed his passion to his sons. Ferrari soon became the market leader in Italy and the nation's celebratory wine par excellence. Today he third generation of the Lunelli family is keeping the Ferrari dream alive leading the company with the aim of combining innovation and tradition and taking Ferrari around the world as ambassadors of the Italian Art of Living.
