These regulations govern relationships between Alitalia - Società Aerea Italiana S.p.A in a.s.("Alitalia"), with registered office in Rome, 00054 Fiumicino, Via Alberto Nassetti snc, fully paid up share capital of €50,000.00, tax code, VAT no. and registration no. on the Rome Companies Register 13029381004, Rome R.E.A. ("Repertorio Economico Amministrativo" - economic and administrative index) no. 1418603, and the Company or individual customer wishing to buy the Alitalia Italy Voucher.
Art. 1 - Product description
1.1 The Italy Voucher is an unassigned product consisting of six or twelve direct, domestic, one-way flights, with no obligation when purchasing the voucher to indicate the destinations and dates that the voucher will be used. The tickets issued with the voucher can be used by people other than the purchaser.
1.2 There are two types of Italy Voucher:
- Six-flight Italy Voucher: € 654.00 in total, € 109 per flight (including taxes and supplements), valid for six months from the purchase date
- Twelve-flight Italy Voucher: € 1,188.00 in total, € 99 per flight (including taxes and supplements), valid for twelve months from the purchase date
1.3 Tickets can be used on all direct domestic flights operated by Alitalia. Flights to/from Sardinia under the territorial continuity system, seasonal routes and code-share flights are excluded.
1.4 Open tickets (with no pre-established date and time) and unassigned tickets (the name of the passenger on each ticket can be altered at any time).
1.5 Seat availability for the Italy Voucher is subject to the restrictions of fare class T offered for this initiative.
1.6 If no seats are available in class T, the higher class available can be booked, subject to payment of the difference in fares, by calling the Customer Center or at Alitalia ticket desks or travel agencies. Online bookings cannot be made in classes other than class T.
1.7 After the ticket has been issued, the passenger name and flight booking can be changed, subject to seat availability in class T on the new flight:
- Free of charge up to seven days prior to the departure of the flight
- For a fee of € 50 from six days to three hours prior to the departure of the flight
Ticket changes must be made through the Customer Center, Alitalia ticket desks or travel agencies; ticket changes cannot be made online.
1.8 After the ticket has been issued, it can be canceled free of charge up to seven days prior to the date of departure and with a fee of € 50 from six days to three hours prior to the departure of the flight. Cancellations and name changes must be made through the Customer Center, Alitalia ticket desks or travel agencies; ticket changes cannot be made online.
1.9 The Voucher cannot be used by children under 14 years old traveling unaccompanied, without an adult. The "Unaccompanied Minors" procedure is not permitted. No discounted fares are available.
1.10 No refund can be made if the Italy Voucher is not used, in part or in full.
Art. 2 - Sales channels
2.1 The Italy Voucher can be purchased by calling the Customer Center on the dedicated number, at Alitalia ticket desks and at any Italian travel agency.
2.1.1 Vouchers bought online
At the time of purchase, the customer will receive, via email to the address provided, a voucher code and password to use to have the individual tickets issued.
The purchaser is responsible for keeping the code and password confidential. Alitalia is not liable in the event of fraudulent use of this code and password by third parties other than the purchaser.
After an air ticket related to an Italy Voucher has been issued, Alitalia will send notification of the use of the Voucher to the email address provided by the purchaser when buying the Voucher.
2.1.2. Vouchers bought via the Customer Center on the dedicated number, at Alitalia ticket desks and at travel agencies:
At the time of purchase, the customer will receive, at the email address provided, six or twelve one-way tickets depending on the voucher chosen.
Art. 3 – Applicable law and jurisdiction
3.1 The purchase contract for the Italy Voucher is subject to Italian law.
Any dispute relating to the purchase of an Italy Voucher and exercising rights connected to it falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Rome.
Art. 4 – Personal data processing
4.1 Pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, personal data provided with the request to purchase an Italy Voucher will be processed by Alitalia, as the Data Controller and Data Processor.
4.2 The personal data provided will not be communicated to third parties or distributed. Data processing will be carried out using the appropriate instruments to ensure security and confidentiality, including the use of automated instruments.
4.3 Purchasers of Italy Vouchers and recipients of the tickets can exercise the rights recognized pursuant to art. 7 of Legislative Decree no.196/03, including: accessing their personal data, requesting the modification or deletion thereof, or objecting to its use, by sending an email to Alitalia at firstname.lastname@example.org.
4.4 If the purchaser requests the deletion of, or objects to the processing of, personal data required to activate services connected to the Italy Voucher, Alitalia reserves the right to withdraw the rights connected to possession of the Italy Voucher from the recipient/purchaser.
