- For American Express cards (four digits), printed above the card number on the front of the card
- For MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, or Diners Club International cards, (3 digits) on the signature strip on the back of the card
Attention: in order to ensure protection against frauds, you might be asked, by authorized personnel, to show the credit card with which the ticket was purchased. Failure to exhibit the credit card, in original or in copy (if you are not the holder of the card with which the ticket was purchased), could result in not being allowed onboard.
Following the full implementation of the European Directive (UE) 2015/2366, from 1 January 2021 payments with credit or debit cards will only be possible through the Strong Customer Authentication. This procedure guarantees with certainty the identity of the person finalizing the payment and makes online payments even more secure.
During payment you will be required to confirm the transaction with an identity authentication process comprising at least two of the following authentications:
- password or a personal PIN code;
- disposable code generated through text message or APP;
- biometric feature such as fingerprint, facial pattern or voice.
