Strike Alitalia crew September 22

Due to the strike called by some Unions representing pilots and cabin crew  during the whole day of September 22, to minimize the inconvenience caused by the strike itself.

Alitalia invites all customers with tickets issued on flights on departure on September 22, to contact local call center in order to verify the status of flights.

 

All passengers holding a confirmed reservation and a ticket issued on flights affected by the strike can choose the following options:

 

REBOOKING

 

Without penalty only on Alitalia operating and marketing flights in the same booking class or in the first available one. The reservation can be changed within November 30, 2016.

Travel must be completed within the ticket validity. The original duration of stay may be preserved.

 

REROUTING

 

Without penalty on Alitalia operating and marketing flights in the same booking class or in the first available one.

The travel must be done via intermediate point on the same origin and destination. The reservation must be changed within 30th November, 2016. Travel must be completed within the ticket validity.

The original duration of stay may be preserved.

 

CHANGE OF ORIGIN AND/OR DESTINATION

 

The full or partial value of the original ticket may be used to buy new Alitalia tickets. The new fare must be recalculated using the applicable fare for the new origin/destination. Reservation must be done not later than 30th November, 2016.

 

SCHEDULE CHANGE SUPERIOR THAN 5 HOURS (ahead of time or delayed)

 

In case the re-scheduled departure time are such that the passenger is no longer interested in the flight, he/she may renounce to the flight and may request the Carrier to refund the amount paid, without any penalty of completely/partially unused ticket, in the original form of payment.

 

SCHEDULE CHANGE (tickets sold in USA)

 

In case the re scheduled departure time are such that the passenger is no longer interested in the flight, he/she may request to be re-booked/re-routed (via intermediate point on same origin and destination) without any penalty and without any additional cost.

In case the Carrier cannot offer any alternate acceptable flight, passenger may renounce to the flight and may request the Carrier to refund the amount paid, without any penalty of completely/partially unused ticket, in the original form of payment.

 

REFUND

 

Full Refund without any penalty of completely/partially unused ticket in the original form of payment. Passengers with open ticket, without reservation, will have the refund of not used ticket.

 

MILLEMIGLIA AWARD TICKETS

 

Millemiglia Customers will be reprotected on Alitalia flights in the award classes provided, subject to the space availability.

In case of travel renounce passengers can ask for miles refund.
